CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Disciplinary hearings are scheduled for two police officers in Carolina Beach.
Former Interim Town Manager Bruce Shell, whose last day on the job was yesterday, says Sgt. Chris Chafin is suspended without pay following an accident in his town-owned vehicle. Friday the new interim town manager will decide whether Chafin will keep or lose his job, Shell says.
Chafin’s accident led to a departmental review. As a result, Shell says Capt. Anthony Marcucuilli has been demoted. He also has an appeal hearing Friday.
